Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant

Seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the established team at AdventHealth Tampa!
The anesthesia department is seeking a Perioperative Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the team at AdventHealth Tampa’s Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) Department. This provider will be responsible for evaluating medically complex patients prior to scheduled elective surgical procedures to help ensure medical optimization and appropriate care coordination. APP will coordinate with specialty services (such as cardiology, pulmonology, hematology, and endocrinology), anesthesia, and surgery to plan for the pre-surgical needs of the patient and ensure that all required testing is performed or obtained. Histories and physical examinations are completed through scheduled in-person appointments where the APP will also be responsible for preoperative patient education. Additionally, the APP provides guidance to the PAT nursing staff who also work to screen preoperative patients.

Facilities include: AdventHealth Tampa (600 beds), AdventHealth Wesley Chapel (250 beds), AdventHealth Carrollwood (120 beds)
Cardiology, pulmonology, hematology, endocrinology, anesthesia, and surgery
Monday-Friday, no weekends, no holidays, no call
Your choice: 5x8s or 4x10s; 8am-4pm or 8am-6pm
